Overview

 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our team at Cresline Plastic Pipe Co., Inc.  The Credit Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the credit and collections process, ensuring the timely collection of customer payments and minimizing risk of bad debt.

Job Duties

 

  • Manage the credit approval process for new and existing customers
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and make recommendations for credit terms and limits
  • Monitor customer account balances, credit limits and terms
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit issues and disputes, issue credit/debit memos as necessary
  • Oversee collections activities and negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
  • Process customer rebates
  • Prepare reports and analysis on credit and collection activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in credit management or related role
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of credit analysis software
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Proven experience in credit management or a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of credit and collections principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, SAP experience a plus
